The June 4 SW CT Tech Sector Partnership meeting celebrated three years of collaboration through the Good Jobs Challenge and reflected on lessons shaping the partnership’s next chapter. Business and workforce leaders emphasized the growing influence of AI, the importance of coaching and individualized support, and the need for more applied learning opportunities that connect training to employment. The discussion reinforced a shared commitment to employer leadership, regional collaboration, and a stronger, more connected talent ecosystem.

Hosted by Jack Mahoney of Indeed, the March SW CT Tech Hub convening brought together business leaders, educators, workforce partners, and public stakeholders to advance a regional approach to work-based learning. Participants affirmed the need for an employer-driven system that connects emerging talent to internships, project-based work, and other applied experiences—building momentum toward piloting a regional model.

The meeting demonstrated a unified belief that Fairfield County has both the momentum and the leadership to shape a resilient, AI-ready tech talent ecosystem.

Members shape forward-looking strategies that equip learners and workers with the skills businesses need in today’s evolving economy.
