Stamford, Conn. — Jan. 27, 2025 — A recent study from the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that 61% of U.S. high school graduates in 2023 enrolled at a college or university that fall, which means nearly 40% chose a non-college path.

Bridgeport, Conn. — Oct. 2, 2024 — One of the more intriguing developments at this week’s Southern Connecticut College & Career Fair was a dedicated area to showcase career pathways in manufacturing, engineering and technology, or MET. This space, known as MET Zone, brought together companies in industries with the highest demand for jobs to give candidates a chance to engage with representatives directly and explore career opportunities.

Stamford, Conn. — June 2, 2024 — According to nonprofit economic development group AdvanceCT, more than 60,000 Connecticut residents now work in technology in the state. If the Stamford Partnership has its way, hundreds more residents will assume jobs in the tech sector in the coming months and tap into the necessary training to help establish Great Fairfield County as one of the country’s most promising tech hubs.
